At teatime, Cally's rink of Josie, Kathy and Rebecca were hoping to make a second half comeback from being 15-6 down. However, things did not go their way as they finished 33-7 down.
On the other rink, Katie, Jo, Dianne and Hannah didn't manage to keep up the momentum of the first half as they went down 28-17.
The following weekend, Whitland had their first home game to Milford.

Sunday saw the ladies travel to Haverfordwest for a match against the Priory ladies. After an inspiring welcoming speech, the ladies were raring to go!
Both rinks had close games, with Sue, Katie, Andrea and Hannah beating P. Jones's rink 18-14 and Kathy, Jo, Rebecca and Cally triumphing over L. Hord's rink 18-15, with thanks to Jo for stepping in at short notice.
On Saturday, May 16, the ladies travelled to play St. Issell's ladies. As the grey skies cleared, the ladies were hoping for another win, but this was not to be.
Rebecca's rink of Joan, Dianne and Jo were unfortunate to go under 33-9, while Hannah's rink of Josie, Val and Sue were pipped at the post to lose 22-17 after a closely fought match.
The ladies then travelled to Neyland for their next game. Hannah's rink of Josie, Katie and Andrea led from the beginning to finish up 22-13, while on the other rink, Sue, Kathy, Jo and Cally had a closer match to fight. After being 14-5 down at tea, Cally's rink pulled out all the stops to pick up 14 shots in the last 11 ends for a magnificent 19-18 win.
The next ladies' game is home to St. Issell's tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 pm.
Congratulations to the Whitland ladies who have been selected for the ladies' county team, best of luck!
