Sir,

May I through your newspaper, congratulate the Harriet Davies Trust and all other groups involved, in the completion of the Wheelabout holiday accommodation for disabled children and their carers, which is sited in a delightful location with panoramic views in Penally.

Going on holiday with a disabled family member can be an arduous and disappointing venture, if advertised venues are below par. So many 'adapted locations' fall short of the frequently highly technical facilities required to make a wonderful happy holiday for all.

The 'Wheelabout' is a dream come true, with its wide doors, spacious rooms, top of the range beds and tracking, along with superb sanitary fitments The piece de resistance is a wonderful indoor pool, which will be a delight to all the young users.

Outside are ample grounds and parking space which round off this all-inclusive holiday residence.

For the past 10 years I have been directly involved in promoting better access and heightened awareness of disabled difficulties within an able-bodied society.

I know how hard we have had to work for improvements and I am keenly aware of the vision and planning in the creation of this superb venue.

Today in the disabled sector of the community, we set our sights for equality and inclusivity, to put life on an equal par with our able-bodied neighbours.

In the 'Wheelabout', both these targets have been met.

Here we have yet another jewel in Pembrokeshire's crown, a building to match anything, anywhere.
