Sir,

I would like to voice my concern over the state of healthcare in Tenby. We are a group of around 100 adults and children who visit Tenby on the train every year and stay in various guesthouses and camp sites. We absolutely love the place.

We are, however, very concerned that there will no longer be a MIU after December 1 (a nurse friend told me the staff start in Withybush on December 2!) and also that Withybush is losing the SCBU and very probably paediatrics. Both of these places we've visited lots of times due to the nature of children playing and they're amazing.

Unfortunately, as we don't have cars to get to the nearest hospital, and having two expectant mothers with us, we've been forced to cancel next year's trip and almost certainly will not be visiting Pembrokeshire for our holidays again. We're really sad at having to do this, but can't put the lives of our children in the hands of some pen-pushers in another county.
