Whitland are through to the next round of the Welsh Cricket Cup following a four wickets win at home to Margam, in a rain affected match reduced to 35 overs per side.

Luke O'Connor (100) took on the Whitland bowling attack to such an extent that the next highest score cam from the extras column (30)!

Mark Lee (3-23) posed most of the problems for the visitors.

Whitland reached 164-6 in 32 overs. Skipper Matthew Davies led the way with 44no with both Edward John and David Dunfee scoring 22 each.

In the next round on Sunday May 22, Whitland will be away to Clydach.
