ON Saturday and Sunday, October 28 and 29, at Pembroke Leisure Centre, the 2006 Pembrokeshire Age Group Championships took place. This is the annual competition where swimmers from five clubs, Pembroke, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Fishguard and Tenby, compete individually in their own age group categories. Hannah Saunders, aged eight, from Broadmoor, who attends Tenby Junior School and swims for the Tenby Dolphins, achieved outstanding success by winning a gold medal in all five disciplines for her age group, namely 100m individual medley, 25m butterfly, 25m backstroke, 25m freestyle and 25m breast stroke, also obtaining a number of personal best times along the way.
