Born out of love for Jamaican sound clash, forged through a do-it-yourself punk-rock ethic and delivered with a raw hip hop swagger, the unstoppable Babyhead sound is drawn from all quarters of the musical universe, in true Bristol fashion.
The band has been at the forefront of the UK movement in genre-mashing bands for over 20 years. Their unbelievable mix of ska, hip hop, reggae and rock making them firm festival favourites and nominees for best ‘Feel Good Act’ at the UK Festival Awards.

This group have also been a live phenomenon in clubs and on the festival circuit for more than a decade, rocking stages from Glastonbury to Fabric. They’ve scored onstage collaborations from Ozomatli, Rodney P, Alice Russell and a rogue three-legged one-eyed dog!
In support of Babyhead and opening the show at the Queen’s Hall, will be West Wales mash-up The Chalk Outlines - a brass-fuelled, 18-legged riot of a ska band.
Featuring members and ex-members of cult West Wales bands The Rude em Outs, Beneath the Reef and The Dapper Cadavers, this band have been whipping audiences into a frenzy with their stomping, live shows for some time now.
Also supporting are local college band Baked Goods, who will electrify the audience with a set influenced by funk, ska, blues, jazz, hip-hop, and R&B - this is genre-mashing at its best!
