The funeral of former Narberth Mayor, Suzanne Radford-Smith will take place this month.
Tributes have been paid following the ex-councillor’s death, with Narberth Town Council saying it was saddened to learn of the passing of their former colleague, aged 68.
“Suzanne served as a long-standing member of Narberth Town Council and held the office of Mayor on more than one occasion, including during 2008–09 and again in 2012,” said a spokesperson for the Town Council.
“During her time in public service she represented the town with commitment and undertook civic duties on behalf of the community.
“The Council extends its sincere condolences to Suzanne’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
“Suzanne’s moral compass was spot on, driving her passion for the causes she believed in. My thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this sad time.”
Mrs Radford-Smith late of Clynderwen, passed away at Withybush Hospital on January 5, and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
The funeral service and interment will take place at Keeston Natural Burial Ground on Wednesday, February 11 at 12noon.
The funeral cortege will leave Landsker House Funeral Home at approx 11am and will travel down St. James Street into the High Street, Spring Gardens then Jesse Road enroute to Keeston for anyone wishing to pay their respects to Suzanne.
Please wear what you feel comfortable in, but wellies or boots are definitely recommended because of the location.
There will be family flowers only, with donations in memory made payable to either Paul Sartori Foundation or Green Acres Animal Rescue c/o Funeral Directors Messrs W & M J Rossiter & Sons Ltd.
