Alison Neil is paying a welcome return visit to Tenby Arts Festival, with a lively and affectionate play, 'The Just William Lady', at Church House, on Sunday, September 20.
Those of you who remember William and his merry band of Outlaws, will be intrigued to learn more about their creator Richmal Crompton, an extraordinary woman who turned personal tragedy into lasting success. In addition to her much-loved Just William books, she wrote many other short stories and 40 published novels.
She was a suffragette, a classics mistress and an extremely popular aunt at the centre of a large and eccentric family.
Prepare to be thoroughly entertained by this engaging portrayal of a remarkable lady who witnessed two world wars and was still writing when space rockets circled the earth.
