THE Friends of Tenby Museum and Art Gallery have arranged for Pembrokeshire artist David Bellamy to give a watercolour demonstration at the museum on Saturday, September 11, commencing at 10.30 am.

This is an opportunity to watch a highly respected professional artist creating a watercolour painting and passing on details of the techniques that he employs.

Aspiring artists and art lovers in general will find this an opportunity not to be missed.

A small entrance charge is being made, with the proceeds being put towards museum projects.

Tickets are available now from the museum or by post from Mrs. M. Day, 4 Dunmore Apartments, Warren Street, Tenby, at a cost of £5.

The watercolour demonstration is taking place during an exhibition of works by David Bellamy and Jenny Keal, entitled 'Spirit of Pembrokeshire'.

The exhibition mainly covers the Pembrokeshire coast and landscape, along with a number of paintings from David's new book, 'Mountains and Moor lands in Watercolour'.

Jenny Keal's pastels reflect her love for the more tranquil parts of the county, while David's watercolours range from his favourite haunts on the River Cleddau to the sublime and savage cliffs on the wildest stretches of the Pembrokeshire coast.

An artist with an international reputation, David has written 13 books illustrated with his paintings, including 'David Bellamy's Pembrokeshire', a glorious journey through Pembrokeshire's best scenery.

He has also produced six practical guides to watercolour painting on DVD/video.

The exhibition opens with a private viewing on the evening of Friday, September 10. It is then open to the public daily from Saturday, September 11, until Sunday, October 10.
