Residents in Tenby’s Hill Park have been informed by Welsh Water of work taking place in the area at the end of the month.

The company will be replacing a 200m section of water main in Hill Park and this will be completed over six weeks starting on Monday, April 30, to provide residents with a ‘first-class supply of drinking water’ every time they open the tap.

As the road is a dead end lane residents have been informed that there may be times where access to their properties may be affected.

“We will be working in the road from 8am to 4.30 pm, and will maintain access for residents during this time but there may be a slight delay so that we can cover any excavations and allow you to pass safely,” explained Dwr Cymru Welsh Water’s regional communications officer for South Wales, Natalie Giles.

“We’ll be using one of our contract partners to help us get the work done. They are called O Connors Utilities so you may well notice their vehicles in the area while the work is happening.

“Throughout the majority of the work there will be no impact on your water supply.

“While we are working on the pipes, there may be times where your water appears a bit darker than usual. This is quite normal when we are doing work like this and will clear if you run the kitchen cold tap.

“A member of our team will be in the area on Tuesday, April 24 from 1 to 3 pm. They will be visiting all the properties that could be affected so if you have any queries please feel free to ask them.

“We appreciate you bearing with us while we complete the work,” she added.
