The warmth and colour of the South Seas was brought to Tabernacle Church, Narberth, recently, when Mr. Isaac Whippy married Miss Sera Katalau.
The bride, wearing a designer ivory silk gown, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emori Katelau, of Narberth, while the groom, an army officer with the Ministry of Defence at Edinburgh, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Whippy, of Fiji.
Both the bride and groom were born in Fiji. The bride was attended by bridesmaids Miss Raijeli Katalau (sister) and Miss Joy Waqa, who both wore strapless designer mint colour dresses.
Page boy was Master Akariva Novu and flower girl was Miss Abigail Tava.
Best man, Anare Moravu, and the usher, Mr. Waisea Vakacegu, are both army colleagues of the groom. Minister Christopher Rees and Pastor Waqa participated in the ceremony, while Pastor Kama conducted the wedding service in the Fijian language.
A reception was held at Narberth Rugby Club, where a feast of local and Fijian food had been prepared for the guests.
