Tails are wagging at Carew Castle and Tidal Mill as the attraction has scooped the Pembrokeshire Tourism Award for Best Dog Friendly Day Out/Attraction.
The popular visitor attraction is run by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority.
Carew Castle and Tidal Mill Manager Daisy Hughes collected the award at a ceremony on Tuesday, May 23, and said: “Everyone at Carew and the National Park Authority is thrilled to receive this award.
“We think Carew is a fantastic place to bring your dog for a stroll and we’re delighted that the industry agrees.
The annual Dog Friendly Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards were judged this year by Burns Pet Nutrition.
Dogs on leads are welcome at both Carew Castle and the Tidal Mill, as well as around the picturesque millpond and causeway where there is a level walking route suitable for all abilities.
Daisy added: “Carew Castle and Tidal Mill’s rich history spans over 2,000 years and tells of knights of the realm, kingmakers, Elizabethan intrigue and Civil War devastation.
“Today, Carew is as perfect for a gentle stroll with the dog and a picnic as it is for an action packed day of family-friendly discovery and adventure.”
