A Pembrokeshire based event that offers free one day surf experiences for young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder is seeking local surf and water sports enthusiasts to sign up as a Surf Buddy and help deliver this unique opportunity to as many children as possible.
Splash Out 2016 will take place on June 12 at Tenby South Beach. Due to an explosion in popularity of the event, with participants registering from all over Wales, event organisers find themselves needing to recruit more Surf Buddies or be forced to close applications early.
If you are fun, energetic, passionate about the beach and want to help create a truly amazing experience for a young person with ASD, then the event organisers want to hear from you.
You will play an integral part in the safe delivery of the activities ensuring both participant and family get the most out of their day. You will be sympathetic to the individual’s special needs and understanding of the requirement to work at the participants pace.
“We are looking for individuals who are passionate about water sports and interested in enriching the lives of others,” said founder Angelo Fecci.
