If you'd gone down to the woods last Tuesday you would have found members of the Tenby Visually Impaired people Group having a guided walk by Dave Matthews, of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Fortunately, the weather was fine and indeed the sun managed to show its face once or twice, for the guided walk in Amroth Woods courtesy of Mr Robert Lawrence. Those who chose to get out of the mini buses enjoyed a short stroll, listening to the birdsong, gurgling streams and examining various leaves, ferns and stonework, expertly described by Dave.

The members who decided to stay put also enjoyed the peace and quiet and listening to the birds. The mini buses then wended their way down to the seafront at Amroth, where everyone enjoyed tea and biscuits, some taking in the fresh sea breeze. No raffle this month, but everyone agreed it had been a very pleasant afternoon with lots of chatting in pleasant company and surroundings. Jim Hatcher had even brought along a teddy bear who also seemed to enjoy the picnic. The next meeting of the group is on Tuesday, June 20, and anyone wishing to join should contact secretary, Margaret Walker, on 843464.
