Jane Rees, owner of Fay Phillips Vintage shop in Narberth, held a Vintage Fayre at her home in Martletwy to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) mending broken hearts appeal. The event raised over £200 for the BHF. Jane said: "I wanted to do something special for BHF as my husband is having treatment and is seen regularly by the BHF nurse in the area. It will be the first time I will have participated in an event for BHF Cymru and due to the success of the event so many have asked me to make it an annual event. Some had come dressed in vintage clothes which was great and everyone enjoyed the vintage high tea as well." Local BHF fundraising and volunteer manager, Jayne Lewis, said: "It was an excellent event. I would like to thank Jane and family and friends for raising funds for BHF Cymru. Also I would like to thank the Narberth BHF branch who came to help on the day and also everyone that supported the event. Nine people will die prematurely every day in Wales from heart and circulatory disease. That is why the work of the BHF is vital and we rely on generous donations of time and money to continue our life-saving work."
