Sir,

I have read with interest the recent letters praising the summer pedestrianisation scheme, and invariably they are written by people living outside the town walls who have total freedom of access to and from their residences during this period, unlike people within the town walls who have to endure a daily curfew with all its frustrations, inconveniences and disadvantages.

As far as I know, this does not apply to other pedestrianisation schemes in the UK and some I know of in other parts of Europe, where access for residents and businesses is maintained.

Any future scheme for Tenby must therefore incorporate some form of vehicular access for property owners within the town walls before it can be called successful.
