As reported in our previous issue, a van was in collision with the front of M. L. Davies, St. John Street, Whitland, on Wednesday of last week. Firefighters from the town attended the scene along with the brigade's emergency tender from Carmarthen shortly after 6.30 pm and were involved in making the surrounding area safe. A gas main was fractured in the collision and Transco engineers attended to isolate the gas supply. Local photographer John Seeley was also quickly on the spot to catch the scene on camera.
