PICTURED is Tenby adventurer Rosie Swale Pope still going strong on her travels along the roadside at Krasnoyarsk in Central Siberia. The 57-year-old grandmother left her home on her 20,000-mile journey around the world nearly 12 months ago. "She is currently 730 km west of Irkutsk and still doing very, very well," said Rosie's Tenby corresponent and friend, Ann Rowell. "The locals have really taken her to heart, making sure she is safe on her journey and helping her to repair any damaged items. "She has named the trolley she is carrying 'Runner's World Spirit of Freedom' and as you can see from the picture, her Tenby Observer teddy bear is enjoying the journey too and coping well with the cold weather at night," joked Ann. Averaging 30 km a day, Ann revealed that Rosie was now starting to think about planning for the cold winter ahead. "She is making sure that she puts a few pounds on to help her stay warm and healthy as winter draws closer," she said.
