Haverfordwest 37 pts.
Tenby UNITED 7
At the start off this away Swalec Plate match for the Coastal Cottages sponsored Seasiders, it was Haverfordwest who ran the game through their backs and tried to keep the ball away from the Tenby forwards, who were dominating the hosts as they did in the recent home fixture.
Tenby were gaining control of the scrum, but Haverfordwest scored off mistakes by the visitors and, through very strong and creative running from the backs, managed to score three quick tries, making it very difficult for the Seasiders to get into the game.
Tenby's only try by Dave Meyrick came five minutes before half-time when he read the by now predictable Haverfordwest backs and intercepted a pass on his own 10-metre line, going on to outpace the home defence to score, with Lloyd Thomas adding the conversion.
Things were much different after the break, though, with captain Nicky Guymer getting the Tenby side together as they just went out to enjoy the second half.
Strong tackling from Guymer and the recently returned Jason Ronowitz, along with good work from Jason Scarfe at scrum-half and Thomas at outside-half caused Haverfordwest problems, who were unable to break the strong Tenby defensive line.
The second half was a proving to be a lot more evenly matched and the home side only managed to add one converted try to the four they had scored in the first.
Tenby squad: Sion Brace, Dave Meyrick, Dan Colley, Toby Smith, Simon Stanford (James Criddle), Lloyd Thomas (Will Crockford), Jason Scarfe, Justin Richards (Luke Dedman), Jason Ronowitz, Gareth Nock, Pat Elliot, Wyndham Williams, Jon Palmer, Nicky Guymer (capt), Rob Clarke (Geoff Martin).
