A Pembroke Dock man has admitted causing the death of a young couple in a collision on the A477.

28-year-old Alexander MacCallum of Beach Road, Llanreath pleaded guilty to two offences of causing death by careless driving of Tenby’s Adam Muskett (aged 27) and his partner Katie Worrell (aged 25) of Pembroke when he appeared at Swansea Crown Court on February 9.

The couple were travelling along the carriageway in a Fiesta when the Jaguar XKR that MacCallum was driving crashed into them on the afternoon of Thursday, June 13, 2024.

The court heard that the defendant’s vehicle had strayed onto the wrong side of the road during during a period of adverse weather.

MacCallum will return to court to be sentenced on April 2.
