WALES Theatre Company presents Dylan Thomas's classic play for voices 'Under Milk Wood' at Milford's Torch Theatre later this month.

Directed by Michael Bogdanov, the production on Monday, April 12 - Wednesday, April 14, commemorates the 50th anniversary of Dylan Thomass' death.

Hailed by some as his finest work, 'Under Milk Wood' is set in a Welsh village.

Thomas's lyrical language takes us to the fishing village of Llareggub to meet blind captain cat, Mog Edwards, and his sweetheart, Miss Price, Sinbad Sailor, Dai Bread, Polly Garter, Nogood Boyo and Lord Cut Glass.

We are taken along Coronation Street, Cockle Row and Donkey Street, down to the little fishing harbour and back to Milk Wood.

Join the townsfolk as Dylan Thomas explores their lives, hopes and thoughts in the dreams of a night and rhythm of a day, from the first light of dawn into a busy morning and through the long, slow afternoon in spring.

Michael Bogdanov's production is in turn funny, touching, and delightful, faithfully reflecting the places Dylan Thomas evokes, inspired by his memories of Laugharne, New Quay and Swansea.

Sometimes irreverent, always affectionate, Dylan Thomas's charm and humour still entertains us 50 years on.

Tickets, priced at £9 (£8 discount price), may be purchased from the Torch box office on 01646 695267.
