Mr. Robert Taylor, the regional appeals organiser for Ty Hafan, has contacted the Observer to extend the charity's thanks to local fund-raisers who between them have raised over £800 for the children's hospice in Wales. Entertainers Pauline Allen and Laurie Dale raised £210 by staging a musical quiz at New Hedges Village Hall, while a group of friends, who organised a luncheon at the same venue, made £590. "Their hard work certainly paid off and we are extremely grateful for the donations," said Mr. Taylor.
