Police are still making inquiries into the cause of an accident at Pengawse Hill, Whitland, on Friday.
A man and a woman were travelling in a Ford Focus when it left the road shortly before 5.30 pm.
Police, fire and ambulance personnel attended the scene and the couple, who are from Haverfordwest, were taken to Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen.
