Two members made sure they will not go hungry this Christmas when they won the first of the club's seasonal Turkey Trots on Saturday.
Conditions were far from ideal, with near gale force winds blowing across the course for much of the day and the difficulties exacerbated later on in the afternoon with the addition of driving rain.
Among those to perform heroics, however, were the following prize-winners:
Division One (33 competitors): 1. Andrew Pouton 32 pts (turkey); 2. John Gottwaltz 30 (£20); 3. Andrew P. Morton 29, last nine (£10); 4. Chris Thompson 29, last six (£5).
Division Two (43 competitors): 1. Robin Bradbury 35 pts (turkey); 2. Michael Argent 33 (£20); 3. Vivian James (£10); 4. Paul Fairclough, 30, last three (£5).
Twos: John Gottwaltz, Andrew P. Morton, Andrew Pouton, Robert Willcox (£19 each).
Bag draw: Phil Goodridge, Tony Key, Steve Sheldon, Mark Edwards (£17.75 each).
Handicap changes: Robin Bradbury 28 to 26; Vivian James 23 to 22.
