THE Tudor Merchants House on Quay Hill, Tenby, owned by the National Trust, is one of only three venues in Wales to host a talk and demonstration by the authors of the Tudor Tailor - reconstructing 16th century dress. Learn about Tudor tailoring techniques and long forgotten ways of decorating fabrics such as pinking and stamping. Find out how many layers it took for a courtier to achieve the fashionable look and how ordinary working people acquired their clothes and coped with the practicalities of life.

The evening will begin at 6 pm with a guided tour of the house, followed by the Tudor Tailor talk with Ninya Mikhaila and Jane Malcolm Davies. The talk will include demonstrations, lively discussion and an opportunity to handle reconstructed items. During the interval, light refreshments will be served.

There are only a few tickets left for this prestigious event on Wednesday, June 7, at a cost of £7.50. For further details, please telephone (01834) 842279.
