Six TROTS completed the tough five-mile Ras Becca race last weekend. Clive Thomas was fifth and won the first male veteran prize. Peter Griffith came sixth, Dewi Jones 10th, Mike Hodges 42nd, Lon Morgan 50th and Brian Williams 74th. The following day, there was the annual St. Clears 10Km road race. Over 85 runners participated in this event where the conditions were favourable for the runners. The first runner, Richard Gardner, set a new course record, in a time of 32 minutes and one second. Clive Thomas came fourth and won the male veteran prize. Ann Thomas came 16th and won the first female prize. Positions were as follows: Peter Griffith 8th, Roger Coombs 10th, Malcolm Adams 13th, Dewi Jones 15th, Cyril Walters 20th, Ian Morris 21st, Ron Morgan 55th, Mike Hodges 59th, Tanis Hand 63rd, Lon Morgan 70th, Pauline Thomas 71st and Brian Williams 77th.
