The Harriet Davis Trust has recently received not one, but three cheques for the charity from local Masons.

The trust completed a major refurbishment of Harriet’s House in Castle Square, Tenby, in 2016, but at that time there weren’t sufficient funds to replace the TV in the property.

Following a request from the trust’s fundraiser, Elizabeth Sleight, to the Arberth Royal Arch Chapter, Narberth Lodge and the Masonic West Wales Provincial Charity, cheques totalling £1,750 were donated, enabling the purchase of a new bigger TV, DVD player and a special high/low adjustable TV stand so that all the disabled guests can now watch television at a comfortable height.

Elizabeth said: “We were absolutely bowled over by the generosity of the Masons. Their combined funds have enabled us to purchase a TV set-up which is perfect for everyone and we can’t thank them enough.”

The trust is now planning a refurbishment of its second Tenby property, Giltar View, later this year.
