Saundersfoot Chamber for Tourism were overwhelmed by the support shown by the village last Saturday evening for the third Family Hallowe'en Disco.

Supported by many local businesses providing the treats around the trail, the Chamber would like to thank Edgecombe Guest House, Kooka-ba Restaurant, Mermaid on the Strand Restaurant, Saundersfoot Spa, Ocean Hair Salon, Frosts Scullery, and Mr. and Mrs. Odley for providing the treats for the witches of the tunnel.

Tickets and trail maps were collected from the Regency Hall and soon the village was alive with all shapes and sizes of ghosts, vampires and Harry Potter wizards.

Phil Baker, of the Chamber, commented that holding an organised and supervised family event helped to let the youngsters enjoy themselves without causing upset to others.

With the trail complete and bags of sweets to munch on, over 350 villagers, friends and visitors headed back to the Regency Hall for dancing and fun provided by Wayne Wharton.

Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Lawrence (chairman of Saundersfoot CC) had a hard task choosing the best costumes, and diplomacy won with a number of prizes being awarded.

Warming food was provided by the Cavalier Restaurant and St. Brides Hotel and was readily appreciated by all on a cold and dry night. Dancing continued until 10.30 pm, with the hall aglow with pumpkins expertly carved by chef Tony Wilson and his team.

Raffle prizes were donated by the above mentioned businesses and Cottage Collectables, with the star prize being the latest craze 'micro pogo stick.'

The Chamber were delighted that by the end of the evening a grand total of over £1,000 was raised.

Phil again commented that the Chamber were thrilled with the support the village had shown, and with partnership of business, Community Council, Harbour Commissioners, Regency Hall Committee (and especially Mr. Keith Williams) and villagers, they were now looking forward to the Christmas Market (November 30, December 1 and 2) and the New Year's Eve celebrations.
