FOUR Pembrokeshire bowlers who represented Wales in the Visually Impaired Bowling Singles Championships in Belfast in November have been guests at a reception in County Hall, Haverfordwest.

The quartet - Laurie Brown, of Tenby, John Barrett, Madeline Roberts and John Lloyd, all of Milford Haven - are all members of the Pembrokeshire Disabled Bowling Club based at Milford Haven Leisure Centre.

They qualified for the championships by dint of earlier good performances in the Welsh singles at Swansea and the Welsh triples held in Llanelli.

All four are expected to enter the Welsh Visually Impaired Singles Championships to be held in Swansea in June, following which the Wales team for the UK Championships in Mid Wales in August will be selected.
