The first meeting of the Lower Landsker Trefoil Guild in 2014 was held in the Scout and Guide Hall, Warren Street, Tenby, on January 8. Congratulations were given to Margaret Peake for organising the December meeting, when 12 members travelled by bus to Pembrokeshire College where they enjoyed a superb Christmas lunch. The day ended with another exciting bus journey home after the obligatory shop in Marks and Spencer's. Judging by the laughter, it was a day enjoyed by all.

Members had also been delighted to attend the Girlguiding Pembrokeshire carol service at St. Mary's Church, Tenby, which proved a great start to the Christmas celebrations.

Nicole informed members that there would be a memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Vreni Campbell in Pembroke on, appropriately, Thinking Day, February 22. Vreni had been actively involved in Pembrokeshire Guiding for many years and all are welcome to attend the service.

An invitation was extended to all members to attend the Girlguiding Pembrokeshire annual Review which was held at the Torch Theatre on January 19.

Members expressed an interest in attending the Friends day at Broneirion on July 12 and this was to be explored.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, February 5, at 10.30 am, at the Scout and Guide Hall when it is hoped to have a cookery demonstration, followed by serious tasting! Members are reminded that census money will be collected at this meeting.

New members are always welcome. You don't have to have been a Guide or Brownie, just have an interest in helping the local units and having some fun along the way!
