Volunteers at Tenby Surf Lifesaving dedicated 188 hours to beach patrols and lifesaving education in 2025, assisting 113 swimmers in need.

Volunteers enjoyed another busy season in 2025, providing volunteer beach patrols, event water safety cover, lifeguard training courses and water safety education across the resort’s beaches.

Throughout the year, the volunteer lifesavers delivered water safety cover at some of the county’s largest events, contributing a total of 188 hours of volunteer lifeguard patrols on Tenby’s beaches.

During this time, the team assisted 113 people who found themselves in difficulty in the water.

Tenby Surf Lifesaving is a locally led, registered charity which has worked since its inception to save lives on Tenby’s beaches through prevention, education and rescue. The charity operates entirely thanks to the support of volunteers, local sponsors and public donations.

The organisation has expressed its thanks to all supporters during 2025, noting that their continued backing is essential to delivering its life-saving and community services.

Tenby Surf Lifesaving is currently recruiting new volunteers and anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to contact the club via email at: [email protected] or through its social media channels.
