Over the past months, a number of members of Cycle-Fit Indoor Cycling have been training for the Carten charity cycle ride from Cardiff to Tenby.
Over those months, they have covered a lot of miles, a lot of endurance miles, but mainly hills.
On Saturday, it all paid off after 32 (plus more who made their own way) travelled to Cardiff on Friday and cycled back the 100-plus miles the following day.
Although a handful had taken part in the event before, the majority hadn’t, and of those people, only a few had recently taken up cycling.
“Cycling 100 miles is no easy feat and a huge achievement for anyone who takes part, so to get all of the people who who took part in the Carten, who attend Cycle-Fit and complete it makes us very proud of them,” said Cycle-Fit’s Jon Mills.
“The whole weekend was fantastic, the travel, the accomodation and topped off by great company. We were even blessed with good weather for a change, well at least after the first 30 miles of rain. In all, a great experience and well done everyone who took part.”
