The visit of the Federation chairman and NEC member, Mrs. Anne Sillick, at the April meeting was a great success. In a very light-hearted but informative talk, she spoke of the future of the Federation and of her duties as a member of the National Executive Committee. Members were delighted to hear that the Federation here in south-west Wales was very highly thought of at HQ as they continued to take part in all activities which many other Federations had had to give up for one reason or another. The next of these activities in which they are participating is the Federation Music Festival in Carmarthen on Thursday, June 5, and members of the singing group are reminded that rehearsals take place at Church House, Upper Frog Street, on Thursday mornings, at 10.30 am. The next meeting will be held at Ridgeway, North Cliff, home of the chairman, Mrs. Rosemary John, when members shall be celebrating the formation of Townswomen's Guild 80 years ago with a tea party. Please note the date of this meeting, which is Wednesday, May 7.
