Narberth's Creative Café held a Christmas tile competition. There were 29 entries, with £1 of every entrant's fee going to the 'Chernobyl Children Lifeline', an organisation that supports children from Chernobyl visiting the UK. The children have been regular visitors to the Creative Café for the last few years and are expected to pay a visit again in March this year. The standard of the painted tiles was exceptionally high, making choosing the winners extremely difficult for the judges, Iona Hartshorn and Rosie Fletcher. However, after much deliberation, the winners in each group were as follows: Up to eight years - 1. Charlotte Ings (Templeton); 2. Rhodri Thomas (Haverfordwest); 3. Sian Jones (Login). Eight to 13 years - 1. Isabella Guglielmoni (Narberth); 2. Nansi Jones (Llanfallteg); 3. Bethan Davies (Whitland). Thirteen years and upwards - 1. Craig Wilson (Tavernspite); 2. Carol Walters (Tavernspite); 3. Donna Jones (Llanfallteg). Successful entrants received gift vouchers ranging from £5 to £20. All the entries can be seen on the website http://www.thecreativecafe.co.uk">www.thecreativecafe.co.uk.
