The summer season of American roots music at Burnett’s Hill Chapel, Martletwy, continues this week with a visit from Virginia-based five-piece The Hot Seats.

A hillbilly string band who have been together since 2002, the Hot Seats play an electrifying brand of old time songs and tunes, bluegrass, ragtime and what they describe as ‘general freak-out music’. Anyone hoping for an evening of sedate Appalachian waltz tunes will be sadly disappointed!
