It was on the first Sunday of March, 2009, that Pennar Community Church was formed as the result of the amalgamation of Bethany and Gilgal Baptist Churches.

The church meets in Bethany chapel, and as well as its Sunday services, offers a varied programme of spiritual and social events during the week.

As in previous years, the anniversary weekend is being celebrated with a Fellowship lunch at South Pembs. Golf Club following Sunday morning's service.

A warm welcome is assured at all activities:

Sunday services at 11 am and 6 pm.

Prayer and Bible Study on Monday at 7.30 pm.

Sisterhood for the ladies on Tuesdays at 7.30 pm.

Little Angels' Parent and Toddlers, Wednesday 10 am, followed by Rainbows and Brownies at 4 pm and Fat Club at 7.15 pm.

The week's activities are completed on Thursday when Rodger's Ranch Line Dancers 'shake the chandeliers' from 8 pm onwards.
