Support to the level of £1,400 from Texaco, Pembroke, has enabled the National Children's Homes Haverfordwest Centre to establish their own website. The centre works with families who care for children with disabilities, and the website will enable parents to access information, enrol on training courses and and apply to register their child on the specific needs register, all online. A bulletin board will also allow parents to air views and exchange information with other families. "We have to move with the times and the internet is a good way for parents, especially in rural areas to keep in touch," said Judith Edwards, project manager. Phil Thompson, public affairs, Texaco, Pembroke, added: "Texaco has been enthusiastic supporters of the NCH nationally since 1992, and we are happy to be able to continue that support at a local level, since the opening of the Haverfordwest Children's Centre some four years ago."
