SIX Tenovus volunteers have recently celebrated milestone anniversaries volunteering in the Tenovus Tenby shop.
The ladies (pictured from left Janet Parsons, Freda Williams, Sandie Fryer, Diana Phillips,Betty Gordan, Margaret Penn) have collectively volunteered for over 47 years for the leading Welsh cancer charity.
Over the last year, the team in Tenby have helped Tenovus fund over £1 million of research in Wales and spend over £1.8 million on cancer support services.
Tara Nickerson, retail area manager, said: "Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do at Tenovus. We were founded by 10 inspiring volunteers over 70 years ago. Without the dedication from over 1,600 volunteers across Wales, we could not provide the cancer support services we do in communities just like Pembrokeshire.
"We rely on volunteers to help us in all sorts of ways, from working in our shops, to helping at events or on our freephone cancer support line. Volunteering is rewarding, fun and you can make a real difference. We have a variety of roles that suit a variety of people, young or old, experienced or inexperienced, the most important thing is to enjoy working within a friendly team like the one we have in Tenby."
