A Tenby pupil continues to do her bit for a local animal rescue charity by selling sunflowers she has grown from seed in her own garden.

Last year, Emelia Blomquist planted the seeds before lockdown, and helped raise £700 for Greenacres Animal Rescue - a small, non-profit, animal rescue centre in Pembrokeshire, which has shops based in Narberth, Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven and Haverfordwest.

The sunflowers (yellow, red, pink and black ones) are for sale outside her house, on The Green, Tenby.

Tenby’s Mayor, Clr. Sam Skyrme-Blackhall has backed the fundraiser.

“Well done again to Emelia - last year she raised £750 for Greenacre Rescue. She’s doing it again and has already raised over £100, by selling sunflowers. Amazing effort!” said the Mayor.
