Sir,
'Work set to start on Tenby enhancement scheme' said the Observer headline last week.
Why don't they start with the dirtiest place in Tenby? The public bus shelter in the centre of Wales' prime holiday resort!
Its a shock to the senses to even look inside it! Why don't councillors get out of their cars and inspect it? We have to use it. In fact, we try not to, sitting inside the Somerfield store until five minutes before the bus comes - anything to avoid using that shelter.
Ingrained with dirt and black in colour, the floor is stained with many months of urine, spit and stubs, the walls splashed too, quite disgusting. What must foreign visitors think of us?
Someone may be paid to clean it, but they never do! Merely sprinkling disinfectant on the layers of dirt and marching on their way, that's all the cleaning it gets, to disguise the smell no doubt. A power washing is all it needs, which would not take long; too much effort perhaps.
I noticed this disgusting shelter one year ago and nearly wrote then; it has never been cleaned since. Isn't anyone going to do something about this eyesore?
