Pembrokeshire Lottery held their latest Superdraw on March 2 and the lucky player who scooped the £8,000 prize was Julia Scholfield from Tenby with lottery number 4152.

Shortlt after the draw the Pembrokeshire Lottery team called Miss Scholfield to inform her of her win and make arrangements to deliver the prize cheque the following day.

Tenby locals may recognise Julia, who is known as the ‘Bird Lady’. She has dedicated the last 40 years to caring for the town's sea birds, feeding them twice a day and rescuing the injured.

Julia told the team at the Lottery that her windfall came at just the right time as she needs a newer car. She’ll also be donating some to her favourite charities and of course, some extra bird seed!

The normal £2,000 weekly draws continue but don’t forget, there’s a Superdraw on the first Wednesday of every month, so April 6 will see the prize amount increase to £4,000.
