It was only the Tenby team's sound defence that kept them in the game and Pembroke from scoring.
However, Tenby were the first to score points. In the Pembroke half, Harry Bolton charged down a kick from the Pembroke outside-half, regathered the ball and ran 40 metres to score a try. The conversion failed.
The second half seemed to replicate the first, with Pembroke throwing everything at Tenby, who were forced to defend constantly.
Again, the Tenby defence held firm, perhaps thanks to one change in the pack to add a little more steel.
The Pembroke outside-half then attempted a drop goal which only the referee thought went over!
Tenby managed to respond and from one attack were awarded a penalty, which was kicked by Thomas Lewis.
The game ended with Pembroke on the attack, as they had been for much of the match, but Tenby managed to hang on to their unbeaten record in the Q2 League.
