Sir,
OK. General consensus in town, let kindness and common sense prevail, leave Brooklands alone. Let's site 'The Dump' at the far end of Salterns car park, perfect place, easy access, minimum disturbance, flooding highly unlikely. Or maybe the site is earmarked for something else - another Pembs. CC fait accompli perhaps? Could our town councillors be vociferous in support of this realistic alternative? Their deafening silence is well... deafening.
Common sense also regarding our hospital please. The ageing population will be using the facilities more and more. Money saved by the Health Board closing the unit will be used on ever-frequent ambulance call-outs to an already overstretched Withybush. Was this eventuality considered? Public consultation, Ha! done and dusted beforehand?
Just a thought. Tesco are having a quiet time at the moment, but with their organisational and logistic skills and in consultation with our County Council and Health Board, both difficulties could soon be resolved. Double points as it were!
Good that's sorted then. The residents of Brooklands can live in peace and the future patients of Tenby Hospital will at least live.
Christine K.
Tenby.
