With the winter now in full swing, it is time to enjoy this festive season by participating in the many events that have been arranged for the Tenby Winter Carnival Week - including, according to Santa, some snow!? There will be something for all to see and do. Everybody who attends will find activities to give them fun, joy and happiness in the run up to Christmas. The Winter Carnival Week commences with the Christmas Arts and Craft Fair at the De Valence from 10 am, followed in the afternoon at 4 pm in the High Street and Tudor Square where many festivities will take place. This includes Santa's Relay at 5.30 pm and the exciting grand Winter Carnival procession of floats and entries at 6 pm. "We encourage as many participants as possible to enter into the sprit of the carnival," said a spokesperson for Tenby Events. "Please could all pubs, restaurants, guest houses, hotels and cafes support the Santa Sprint Relay by turning up in the square in teams of two at 5 pm. "It is not too late to take part in the procession with a float or as individuals. The route for the procession concentrates on the centre streets of the town, so please dress up warm and get all the family out, to cheer the participants from any point on the route that you choose to view from. Your presence will be most appreciated and will put a smile on Father Christmas's face."

Good luck message from Mayor of Tenby, Clr. John Griffiths
It is an honour, as Mayor, to welcome Tenby's first ever Winter Carnival Festival Week and, on behalf of myself and my fellow councillors, I would like to extend a warm invite to one and all to come along and join in the fun and festivities. This year, Tenby Events have been working for many months to devise a week long programme of events for all the family beginning with the Winter Carnival, which is now in its 13th year. I would therefore like, on behalf of everyone to extend our thanks and good wishes to Tenby Events and all their team for all their hard work in creating what will surely become one of the county's major winter highlights. Tenby is such a special place. I, as are with my fellow councillors, am honoured to live in, and enjoy, such a beautiful environment. Tenby won Wales in Bloom this year and, with your efforts, we will again next year. I do hope you can join us at this truly festive occasion. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a warm and happy Christmas and a comfortable, happy and prosperous New Year.
