The December meeting of the Tenby Visually Impaired People Group took the form of a Christmas party. Chairman, John Webb, welcomed everyone, and the roll call revealed 17 members present, although there were several regulars missing.
The entertainment for the afternoon was provided by Eva Rich, who was accompanied by June Thomas. Everyone joined in singing the well-known carols, and Eva and June also sang some solos and duets.
Sue and Olive from Saundersfoot Inner Wheel provided welcome refreshments, which included delicious cake and mince pies.
The raffle winners were Victor Parsons, June Thomas, Ralph Rich, Margaret Walker and Stuart Jones.
There was enough cake for everyone to take some home, and the afternoon closed with John Webb thanking Eva and June and wishing everyone a happy Christmas and a healthy and peaceful 2009.
The PBS minibus and Saundersfoot Rotary Club provided transport for the homeward journey, and members are reminded that the next meeting will be lunch at the Gower Hotel, Saundersfoot, on Tuesday, January 20.
Please contact the secretary, Margaret Walker, on 843464, if you are visually impaired and would like to join the group.
