Tenby Townswomen's Guild held its April meeting in the Education Centre last Thursday. The chairman, Mrs. Rosemary John, welcomed all members present with an especially warm welcome to Mrs. Kay Apps, Mrs. Jill Edwards and Mrs. Ann Lukes, who were all recovering from illness or accident. The secretary and treasurer presented their reports and forthcoming activities were noted, viz., Federation annual general meeting April 18, games and social afternoon April 21, executive committee April 25. Members are asked to note that, because of the General Election on May 5, there will be no Guild meeting next month, but there will be a music appreciation afternoon on May 12 and a games and social afternoon on May 26. The flowers from the top table were given to Mrs. Ann Lukes and the raffle was won by Mrs. Margaret Lewis. Following the business session, members heard a celebration of spring in music and verse presented by the committee. This was followed by a welcome cup of tea and cakes. The next Guild meeting will be on Thursday, June 2, when those members who have not yet paid their subs for 2005/6 are requested to bring them to the meeting.
