With no election having been requested to fill the casual vacancy on the South Ward, Tenby Town Council will now move to fill the vacancy via co-option.
“Being a councillor gives you a chance to make such a huge difference to quality of life for people in your area,” said the Town Clerk Andrew Davies.
“You do not have to be a member of a political party and will be able to engage with the local community and keep up-to-date with issues of concern; provide a voice for your local community and mediate between, or campaign for, individuals, the council and organisations while also managing public funds to ensure the community gets best value for the services provided.”
Anyone interested in being considered for co-option is asked to write to the council outlining their reasons for seeking co-option and what qualities they feel they may bring to the role of town councillor.
Letters should be sent by post to Andrew Davies, Town Clerk, Tenby Town Council, De Valence Pavilion, Upper Frog Street, Tenby, SA70 7JD or via email: to [email protected] by Monday, June 30.
