Tenby Town Council have announced the retirement of its curent clerk after a 23-year chapter.
The Town Council said that Andrew Davies brings to a close an ‘outstanding and dedicated career’ - spanning 23 years in service to the Town Council and the community of Tenby.
A Town Council spokesperson shared: “Throughout this time, he has been a constant and reassuring presence at the heart of the Council’s work, providing exemplary leadership, sound advice, and a deep knowledge of local governance.
“His tenure has seen him work alongside numerous councillors and successive mayors, always with the same professionalism, discretion, and unwavering commitment to public service.

“As Town Clerk, Andrew has played a pivotal role in ensuring the effective administration and smooth operation of Council business. His diligence, attention to detail, and steadfast approach have earned him the respect and appreciation of colleagues past and present.
“He has not only witnessed but helped shape the Council’s progress over more than two decades.”
Paying tribute, Tenby’s current Mayor, Cllr Dai Morgan said: “Andrew has been the backbone of Tenby Town Council for over two decades. His dedication, knowledge, and quiet professionalism have guided countless councillors and supported many mayors during their term of office. He has served the town with distinction and integrity, and his contribution cannot be overstated.

“On behalf of the Council and the wider community, I offer him our sincere thanks and wish him a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement.”
