This year's royal wedding should be marked with a celebration in Tenby, local councillors have suggested.
With Prince William and Kate Middleton due to be married on Friday, April 29, councillors want to commemorate the occasion with an event in Tenby.
"I'd like to see the town do something to celebrate the royal wedding, maybe not a street party, but certainly something where the community can get together to mark the occasion," said Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas at Tuesday night's meeting of the town council.
Clr. Mike Evans said that the Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism had also recently said that they would like to see something done to celebrate the occasion.
"Maybe we could hold a Tudor Market in the town. I think it's a really good idea for the town to certainly do something. Maybe we could invite local organisations to a Tenby Connect meeting to see what ideas can be floated around," said the Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Julie Evans.
