Pembrokeshire County Council is reducing the hours of street lighting in a bid to cut down on carbon emissions.
The authority will start reducing street lighting in Tenby from this Monday.
Lights will be switched off between the hours of midnight and 5.30 am.
The partial switch-off is part of a county-wide reduction programme.
No lights will be permanently turned off, while areas of high night-time pedestrian activity (such as town centres) and busy traffic routes will be excluded for health and safety concerns.
As well as reducing the county's carbon footprint, the partial switch-off will also save at least £200,000 a year on energy bills.
